False Heat?

My APBT had her first heat about 2 mos ago now she is bleading agin!!!! 3 days ago a male dog tried to mount her @ the dog park but i'm prettyu sure he didn't penatrate. Anyone know what is going on????? Also she is swollen again in her privates.False Heat?
First, if she is swollen, she is in heat and you should not have her in public. As a matter of fact, don't even let her out without watching her... males will come from a mile away through anything to get to her.

Second, sometimes the first couple of heat cycles are off schedule, but you may want to take her into the vet to be looked at.

Third, you should get her spayed after this cycle. It will be better for her in the long run, and it is good that she got a cycle in. It is better for her to have had the hormone surge.

Talk to your vet ASAP, and keep her at home till it passes. Accidental breeding is not a good way to go! She is way too young to be bred.False Heat?
Info can be misleading..this is likely NOT a heat cycle..she needs to see a vet!!!

You very likely could be dealing with a serious infection..one that could be life threatening.

They go into heat and have their cycle every few months. So it wasn't a false heat. Clearly she's in heat again.

Do the responsible thing and get her spayed.

Edit: Yeah, I've got dogs. And yeah, I know where they come from. But the reason I ask people to spay and neuter is the amount of dogs that don't get good homes because of the pet over population.

Getting your dog spayed will save her from certain types of cancers and other diseases.
You need to take her to the vet...she could have a very serious uterine infection. Pyometria can mimic the signs of heat. If it is pyometria and you do not get her into the vet and get a proper diagnosis the chances of her dying are very, very high.

If a female dog has an infection a male will often try to mount just as they would if she was in heat so this is NOT a good indication of her being in heat....if for some reason she is having another heat cycle so soon after the supposed first one this can signal a very serious hormonal issue and needs vet attention asap...

This dog needs to be spayed soon.
Do you read other questions? Once again...when in doubt talk to your vet. They can answer your questions much more accurately than the people here. Get a real answer. And once again...GET YOUR DOG SPAYED! Go look through a shelter and you'll (hopefully) see why.
Yes it's false.A female dog can only go into heat every 6 months but their is something called a false heat and false pregnancy where they show symptons of it.

It goes away after a while.
All you need to do is SPAY HER!!! thank you
its possible its a false heat. she should only go into heat every few months. but you never know sometimes their cycles get screwed up like ours do!
Bleeding again in such short order begs a trip to the vet. It is very uncommon, and therefore, while it *might* be normal, I would NOT risk my dog's life over it. I'd spend a few and have her vet checked.
i have heard of smaller dogs going into heat every 4 months. i would call a vet and ask them just to make sure that she is not infected or anything bad is happening. its worth taking her to the vet early so they can catch it if anything is wrong.
I hate to oppose any other answers but a dog goes in heat every six months for two weeks starting at the age of six months. If she is spot bleeding she may have an infection. Best bet is to take her to the vet. Spaying, usually solves most problems/
Get her spayed or don't bring her to the dog park when she is in heat. Her first heat cycle was probably not a full cycle so she is having the real deal now. Just like women who are irregular when they first get their periods.
