True of false? Bettas can live in non-heated tanks inside a house?

true.. if you go to a pet store usually they have bettas in little cups or bowls and walmart use to sell them with plants on top in a vase, they do not require a heater, just make sure u keep them in lukewarm water and they will be fine. I have had mine a yr and he is healthy and kickingTrue of false? Bettas can live in non-heated tanks inside a house?
True, but tropical temperatures keep them happier!True of false? Bettas can live in non-heated tanks inside a house?
They can but its not good for them.
true
I'm pretty sure Bettas can live within a non-heated tank, as long as the room temperature is fairly warm.

Remember, Bettas are tropical fish, so they live in warm waters.
true and false.

they can live in a non-heated tank if the room is at a constant warm temperature, however if it's in a room where the temperature flucutates (heating switches on and off, air con) the tank will need a heater.

dramatically fluctuating temperatures can kill a fish.
This will depend on the temperature of your house.

Bettas do best when the water temperature is 76-80. Outside that range, they are lethargic and don't eat as well. If your room is warm enough to heat the water to somewhere within that range, fine. If not, you should get a heater.
True
true ..but it would need to be a warm house
yes they can bec uas thay can live in a fish bowl.
Of course they can, they can even live with some other fish that are cold water type but not goldfish. They put too much amonia in the water and it will burn the scales of the betta. If you put him in a large enough tank you can put some guppies but they can't be crowded and be sure the guppies have hiding places, sometimes Bettas get an attiude. but be sure you use aquarium salt and water conditioner in the water.
FALSE: bettas need the warmer water because they are tropical fish.

They like a temp. range of 76 to 84 degrees F.
Normal temperatures. Away from drafts, vents and doors.
true
TRUE! Usually the temperature in a house is warm and the water will be relatevely the same, so they can be ok. But they prefer warmer temperatures.
Neither. It depends on the temp of your house. If you normally keep your house it the mid 70's they should be okay. If you keep your house etremely cold, they will become lethargic and spend all of their time at the top of the tank. They do best with a heater, but CAN live without one.
my betta lived for 4 years in my non-heated tank but the other 8 that I have owend died w/in a year so I would say it is better to have a heated thank
it is true, but a betta in warmer water will be more active and colorful.
FALSE.

Bettas are tropical and require warm temperatures just like any other tropical fish. Only the goldfish family can survive in cool water.
True, with a house that is 70 degrees or more all the time.
true
true and false. you can keep Betta's in a non-heated tank they just per fer it more if the tank is heated but if you have baby guppies you need to keep the tank heated
my betta is living in a non heated tank. hes doing fine. i try to keep his tank close to a window so the sun can heat the water a little though.
True, I have a male betta and he's been in an unheated tank for a year now and as much life left in him.
