I have a female dog who is fixed and she still comes into a false heat every few months how can I fix this?

the most annoying part is that I also have a male dog who is fixed but they still go at each other constantly. They are both 4 year old beagles and this has been going on since they were about a year old.I have a female dog who is fixed and she still comes into a false heat every few months how can I fix this?
If only the uterus was removed and not the overies she will still give off the scent of being in heat and act like she is in heat. If the overies were removed as well this should not be happening at least on the females part.

How old were they when they were fixed? Sometimes if they have bred together before they were fixed they will try after. It's not impossible for a male to tie even with a female after being fixed ( I learned this when my neutered male and spayed female tied a couple of years ago.) Just nothing can happen if they were fixed. This only happened once though and not long after their operations.

You may want to have a word with your vet about it as it does not seem normal for them to still be trying to breed after being fixed for 3 years.I have a female dog who is fixed and she still comes into a false heat every few months how can I fix this?
fixing takes care of the plumbing but doesn't remove instinct ; nothing does; nature put that there for a reason; and man intervened to sterilization. Instinct remains forever. A woman can have her tubes tied and a man a vasectomy and yet they still have sex and want sex
Hello..sorry never heard of false heat, if the dogs were not fixed before they learned about sex, that could be why or if one dog is fixed %26amp; one isn't ..that's another why..could also be about dominance, the male being dominent to the female %26amp; her being submissive, as it is in Nature..it's just NOT about SEX....Take Care :)
Just because they are animals does not mean that they do not like having sex. What's the harm? Do you think that if you had a hysterectomy/vasectomy (whichever applies) that you would stop liking sex? My dogs used to so this and the vet told me that they just like to have sex sometimes. For example, my mother used to have a single lovebird... He used to masturbate almost all day because he had no mate, this is normal behaviour for single lovebirds. Just like male dogs will hump things... It is because they like how it feels. That is why puppies hump everything they can when they start to become sexually mature. Anyway, like I said, it doesn't hurt anything, if they are both fixed there wil be no puppies, so what's the big deal?
