True or false: can Heat destroy a diamond?

True, but you need a temperature of around 3457 C/6420 F. Pretty hot!True or false: can Heat destroy a diamond?
trueTrue or false: can Heat destroy a diamond?
Actually you dont need much heat. in fact if you want to destroy a diamond all you need is ultraviolet light and Oxygen. this process is slow, but eventually the oxygen is ionized and attacks the carbon in diamons and creats CO2

even easier is with a microwave sample digester. This laboratory equipment uses O2 in a closed glass container with the ';sample'; (diamond). Using microwaves, the O2 is converted to Ozone (O3) which attacks the carbon....resulting in CO2
False
Actually it is FALSE! If you listen to are you smarter than a 5th grader!!!
true
true cause heat can destroy anything on this earth
according to Wiki........

diamonds.....

';Being a form of carbon, they can burn in the presence of oxygen if heated over 800 掳C (1500 掳F). Nevertheless, in absence of oxygen they can stand higher temperatures.';

Yes beacause you know when these were formed they were created in the time of volcano and heat. I am still preaty sure that it can be destry it. By applying heat and pressure to natural stones, Diamonds could turn brown Type I diamonds light yellow, greenish yellow, or yellowish green; improve champagne Type IIA diamonds several color points, even to white; intensify the color of yellow Type I diamonds; and make some bluish grey Type I and Type IIB colorless.
it's true

i just watched it on are you smarter than a fifth grader. bwaha
Well like the first guy said it would have to be pretty hot. But I am pretty sure any substance can be destroyed by heat, but some require so much heat that it cannot be produced by man.
