A calorimeter is used to measure temperature.

I'm sure

1: oops! not the ABSENCE, just the lack of a high amount of really. Cold is just little heat. but there's always SOME temperature.

2: well, it measures the change of enthalpy in a reaction (heat)

3: Learnt it

4: learnt it (the hydrogen bonds present in ice hold the molecules rigidly, and when it melts they are broken and the molecules can compact closer together)

5: Yes, increase of temperature -- %26gt; molecules have more kinetic energy to vibrate

edit: haha a lot of different answers! some can be easily googled if you want to check.
1) F

2) F

3) F

4) F....Ice is less dense than water

5) T

I think I messed up on one of those...not sure though. Number 3 to be specific? It can or it can not be? That's kind of confusing. It can remain constant and continue to melt the substance. As long as it has hit that melting point, then it can remain constant.
Steven - I saw your other question that was an arm's length long. Are you studying or having others do your homework assignments.

People are willing to help, but you need to help yourself rather than just having someone else do your homework. You don't learn from letting others give you the answers.

Just some friendly advice. : )
the first question : its b because cold is the absent of heat

second question: its b (false) because calorimeter is to measure heat

third question: its a (true)

question 4 : its b ( ice less dense than water )

question 5 : a (true)
1. false

2. false

3. false

4. true

5. true

2 and 4 are trick questions
